Weekend

We spent a long weekend in the Carlisle area (Jane's home turf) last weekend.  We had a lovely visit with our dear friends, the Cockley family.  Friday morning we headed up to their cabin deep in the woods of Perry County.  These photos are from the kiddos and Dads taking a dip in the freezing (!!) creek right outside the cabin.  This was Meredith's first creek experience, and it was positive - woohoo!  She loved riding on the tube with Olivia and having help from KC and Vivian too. :)

On Saturday night we performed a concert for the OP church congregation and friends.  It went splendidly and it was such a treat to see so many familiar faces again. :)

moments with the dear Cockley family

Our last stop in our central PA visit last weekend was at the Cockley's beautiful home in the heart of Perry County. Visits with this dear family are a treat and one we keep coming back to. :)

Fuzzy - one of their many (!!) friendly pets and a huge entertainment for Meredith

yummy!

Berries! We found wild raspberries on our way over the mountain, and Erik and Kurtz picked the blueberries on their grandparent's property.

Sunday in the Park with MJ

While in Carlisle this weekend, we stopped at one of Jane's childhood parks - Fort LeTort. :) Meredith had a wonderful time swinging with Daddy and walking with Mama up, down and all over!

It was so fun for me to be there again, and remember the hype in Carlisle when "Fort LeTort" was being built...now 20 years ago. Yikes... it sounds so old to say I can remember things that happened 20 years ago!
