Madeleine and John's wedding!

Our dear friend, Madeleine was married to a wonderful man this past weekend.  Erik and I were very involved in the wedding preparations, ceremony and reception.  Erik played his violin for the ceremony and I arranged all the flowers.  Super fun for us both!

All three girls fit into our bathtub this week.  They LOVED it.  Clean, happy sisters!

Cassie Lou was gifted this beautifully handmade blanket when she was 3 months old.  Erik and I are thrilled that she has a special blanket like her older sisters, and we're glad she's starting to get attached to it...just like they did at this age.  We are big fans of the "lovey" around here. :)

first foods

Since Cassie Lou is 6 months old now, we've started some foods.  So far she's had sweet potatoes and pears.  She's a fan of both!

new chicks!

We are raising a new batch of laying hens.  These little beauties arrived a few weeks ago and we are enjoying having wee ones again.  Hopefully by this autumn they will begin laying for us.  Until then, they are getting some snuggles and have a neighborhood fan club. :)

This little missy has been teething for weeks now....still nothing has popped through, but she's been drooling and chomping like a champ.  A few weeks ago at dinner Daddy gave her a carrot stick to gnaw on.  She was "happy as a clam" as her sisters like to say. :)

Easter 2016

Reading snuggles

A fun way for Meredith to practice reading lately is to read board books to Cassie Lou.

Cassie Lou is 4 months old!

Our sweet Cassie Lou is 4 months old!  We are all loving her bright smiles and have a lot of fun getting her to giggle these days.  I caught these photos of her laughing at Eliza Wren punching a helium balloon around the room. :)

During dinner everyday this week Eliza Wren has told a story about her baby.  So far, each story has had a reoccurring character enter the scene - a wolf!  Soooo, yeah.  I think it's time to rotate out of listening to The Three Little Pigs and Little Red Riding Hood during rest time. ;)

Meredith was inspired by the Little House on the Prairie stories (her favorites!) when Grace Ingalls had her hair rolled in rag curlers after her bath on Saturday evening.  So, we tried it!

I was very impressed by how well they held - all day long the next day!  It's now part of a sweet after-shower routine for Meredith and me.  Believe it or not, it's a quick 5 minute do! :)

Bumbo

Cassie Lou has now mastered the art of sitting in her bumbo quite well.

As usual, there's a lot of reading going on around here.  Cassie Lou is in high demand to be the audience, but she loves snuggling up with her older sisters for a story.

first snow

Last Sunday we had a dusting of snow.  It got us all excited, and out in it immediately.

Eliza Wren was the first one to explore.

Cassie Lou wasn't sure what to think....so she soon snuggled down for a nap.

Meredith made a wee snow blob, which became her snow cone!

Then we all set off for a neighborhood walk!
