The Frosted Fox

We have a new local favorite - the Frosted Fox!  It's an excellent bakery near us that just opened a few months ago.  We popped in for a date in mid-November, when Cassie Lou was still in her sleepy newborn days, and while Grandparents entertained the older girls.

I absolutely love how they decorate, so it's a feast for the eyes too!

And...We're Back!

Nearly one year ago I last posted...eeps!  Time has flown and there is much to update, so I hope to make it a habit of 2016 to post more regularly.

First - let us introduce our 3rd daughter, Cassandra Lousie.  She had us wait a bit to meet her, but she made her entrance more quickly than her sisters and has been a joy ever since!

we are all in love :)

These are all my favorites....sums it up for me.

more posts to come soon!

4.5 yr. old and 2 yr. old psalm memorization

Excerpt from our morning psalm memorization after breakfast.
2nd of January 2015

Meredith:  "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures."
Jane: "Very good, Mer!"
Eliza Wren: "WATER!"  wide eyed and emphatic
Jane: "Yes, Wren - the next line is, "He leads me beside still waters."
Eliza Wren: "KOMBUCHA!!"
Meredith: "No Eliza, kombuch isn't in it!"
Jane: (continuing on) "He restores my soul.
He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake."
Meredith: (with a perplexed and eyebrows-raised expression)
"...His name isn't 'Sake'...?!!"

Trip to Michigan

We spent Thanksgiving with our dear friends, Isaac, Emily and baby Addie Belle.  It was a lovely few days - full of delicious meals, cold walks, reading, tent-making, snuggles and good conversation.

Thanks for having us, friends!
