Meredith's Baptism

Today Meredith was baptized at our home church, Calvary Orthodox Presbyterian Church, in Glenside, PA. It was a blessing to have mom and dad McKinzie, Bruno and Jolyn (his fiancée!!!!), and Aleksa Petersons there to celebrate with us. Witnessing MJ's baptism was a beautiful reminder of God's blessings to us and our children. Knowing that God will be with her and us as parents raising her is a amazing encouragement.

4. how cute she looks in girly baby clothes (I admit it, I'm a sucker for her style!)

7. how warm and curled up she is after she wakes
8. when she has hiccups, her head pops up and down and shakes her whole body
9. she sucks her nookie (pacifier) the same way the Simpson's baby does
10. when she smiles as she working on something... :)

13. the sound she just made (like a sigh)
14. how big her bottom looks with cloth diapers

Meredith inspired her father's composition of "Super Baby" late one evening this week...enjoy! :)

Cousins Meet!

The cousins finally meet! At nearly 7 weeks old, Lila Mae and Meredith are introduced. They were born just hours a part, although on different days - April 4th and April 5th!



We had fun seeing sparks of their personalities come out here and there this weekend. Lila is all smiles and Meredith is quite wide-eyed. They did seem a bit interested in each other...the friendship can only grow.

Mama and Daddy with Meredith Jane

Mama loves quiet snuggle times with her babe. Favorite moments come once Meredith's belly is full. Her expression says, "Thanks Mom for the delicious food!" and her wide eyes look up at me with content. It's perfect for us both.





Meredith loves her Daddy-time at the end of each day. He whisks her into his arms as soon as he walks in the door and snuggles her. What could be better? Yet, sometimes she feels a bit overwhelmed by the love...maybe she's feeling that way in this photo?! She thinks "Dad - my cheeks are only big enough to handle a few kisses! Take it easy!"

Creativity cannot be pushed to move faster than its lazy wonderings through our minds. We can't expect to pull out the perfect blog name from the sea. We are only standing on the shore taking what waves drift our way. And if we swim out, we can only go so far.

So the name for the meanderings of our minds is "Thyme for Tales." We are only attempting to give some small snippets and morsels of our life as a family. Take a pinch of a story and catch a dash of a journey...only as much as we are able to catch from the sea. Enjoy the ride.
