A Little Brown Songbird

A little brown songbird came flying in
When the clock struck five after four
To greet the last day of November
Through the final swing of the Autumn door.

Singing through winter, to bring in the Spring
Year after year, again and again
She will announce the changing of seasons
This little brown songbird—our Eliza Wren.

[written by the proud father]

Our second daughter was born Friday, the 30th of November and weighed in at 8 pounds, 2 ounces and measured 20 inches long. Eliza is named after her maternal great-great-great-grandmother.
Jane's labor was quick, yet again, finishing in only three and a half hours. Eliza Wren has a healthy complexion, with dark eyes and long dark hair.
After arriving home today during Meredith's nap, we caught her first sight of her new sister when she awoke.
