October Visit #1

We just finished a full 10 days of guests visiting and staying with us.  It's been busy, but oh-so-good!  First to come were Granna and Grandaddy for 4 days.  Lots of fun times together with beautiful autumn weather!

Granna's visit

Jane's Mom was here for a visit with us last week.  We had a wonderful time together and of course lots of snuggle times with these wee girlies.

Over the weekend, Jonny and Bria and their girls visited with us too.

On Sunday, January 20th we had Eliza Wren baptized.  

It was a blessing to have some of our family there for the service. :)

Christmas Festivities

We spent several days after Christmas with Jonny's family (Jane's brother) in Mechanicsburg, PA.  Jane's parents drove up from NC with Will so we had a total of 7 adults and 4 children altogether!

Eliza Wren's first visitors arrived during her first 24 hours of life - Granna and Grandaddy McKinzie came to meet her shortly before we left the hospital.

Our dear friends, Sherry and Tim popped in later that evening to cuddle her up and declare her to be beautiful. :)

Jonny, Bria, Lila and Ellie came to visit later that week and we enjoyed a boisterious evening with all FOUR granddaughters together with their grandparents and parents!

Moving Week

In the midst of our final packing push and last week in our home in East Oak Lane, we've been playing and having fun with Granna, who's in town for a visit, (and she of course is lending her VERY helpful pair of hands!). :)

Of course Meredith is thrilled to have "ganna" here!

After a productive evening of packing on Monday, we took off on Tuesday morning for West Mt. Airy - for a visit to The Nesting House (a favorite of Mama's!) and a trip to the Morris Arboretum.

 Meredith insisted on carrying her Bible (a small pocket sized new testament) all day long with her babydoll, Baby Ellie of course.  A little evangelist!  ;)

It was a beautiful day and a welcome diversion from packing and organizing!
